BLANKETS

The name Raymond have always been associated with this classic fibre- and, as pioneers in woolens since 1925, we are proud to present a wide collection of blankets and shawls in wool and wool blends.

After all, wool “breathes” much better than other fibres. Perhaps it is the only fibre, which can retain much as 60 per cent air. This is so because its scales and crimp allows for an enormous surface that entraps the air effectively, in contrast to the average cotton yarn containing only about 20 per cent air. Besides being a bad conductor of heat makes it acts as an excellent insulator, and prevents body heat from escaping. Finally, its ‘open’ construction increases moisture transfer, which adds to the feeling of comfort. In fact, each of these blankets featured here is painstakingly manufactured in our state-of-the-art factory at Jalgoan, Maharashtra. We presently have a repertoire of over 80 designs and 300 shades.
